Job Overview Fairview is seeking a Cook for St. John's Hospital located in Maplewood, MN ! This is a part time position that offers 64 hours per 2-week pay period and is benefit eligible! Responsible for overseeing and assisting with the preparation and serving of food for all customers using standardized recipes and acceptable food handling techniques. Schedule Week 1 Monday: 5:30am-2pm Tuesday: 7:00am-3:30pm Friday: 5:30am-2pm Saturday: 5:30am-2pm Sunday: 5:30am-2pm Week 2 Wednesday: 5:30am-2pm Thursday: 7:00am-3:30pm Friday: 5:30am-2pm Responsibilities Collaborates on the development of standardized recipes and menus with the supervisory team. Collaborates with the supervisory team on the development of new recipes and menus, ensuring quality standards are met. Organizes workload and properly divides assignments among cooks as to the work to be completed. Ensures food is prepared per standardized recipes and production sheets to maintain quality standards. Practices proper infection control methods, including proper hand washing, personal hygiene, food handling and sanitation techniques. Checks food for proper temperature, per guidelines and appearance to ensure customer satisfaction. May assist with ordering, receiving and storage of food and supplies. Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements. Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned.
