What We Offer The Behavioral Health Care Specialist works with patients to assess and determine needs related to therapeutic interventions and appropriate follow up care, implements treatment plans, coordinates the treatment process and discharge planning, and facilitates groups related to maintaining wellness upon discharge. Also demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age and cultural diversity of the patients served. In addition, the Behavioral Health Care Specialist will uphold and demonstrate the Novant Mission, Vision and Values: Compassion, Diversity, Personal Excellence, and Team Work. What We're Looking For Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree , required. Degree in social work, psychology, human services or similar health related field. Experience: Minimum of one year experience, preferred. Licensure/Certification: NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Resuscitation Quality Improvement, required. Notary Public, preferred. Additional Skills (required): Good working knowledge of computers. Ability to care for Behavioral Health Age Specific populations. Work schedule: 6:45-19:15 for 3-12 hour shifts each week on a 6-week schedule. 5 weekend shifts within the 6-week schedule Why Choose Novant Health?
