Job Summary Fraser Health Authority (FHA), British Columbia's and Canada’s largest and fastest growing health authority, serving a population of 1.7 million is seeking three qualified 1.0 FTE pediatricians to join the medical staff at the Royal Columbian Hospital providing urgent pediatric services. Why Join Our Team: We are a collegial group who work closely with our Obstetricians and Emergency personnel. There are approximately 3,500 births /year at RCH, and we have a Level 3 nursery. Our pediatrician group works 08:00 – 17:00. The successful applicant will be expected to establish a practice in the area, and there is also the opportunity to participate in FHA subspeciality clinics. We work closely with surrounding hospitals, ensuring that children and youth living in the nearby areas have access to pediatric inpatient services. We have worked diligently to develop seamless local and provincial partnerships with the pediatric tertiary referral centre at BC Children’s Hospital and other local hospitals. Rapid population growth with family housing requires ongoing recruitment and service expansions to our program. Additionally, as a member of the Fraser Health medical staff, you will participate in the University of British Columbia (UBC) medical education program and are expected to apply for a clinical faculty appointment in the Division of Pediatrics , UBC.
