Site Engineer (Electrical Distribution) – RDSS Jodhpur

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Site Engineer (Electrical Distribution) to join our team at RRDS in Jodhpur, India. In this role, you will oversee electrical distribution projects from inception through completion, ensuring all work meets technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. You will serve as a key liaison between the engineering team, contractors, and stakeholders, maintaining organized documentation and providing efficient site management.

• Supervise and coordinate electrical distribution installation, maintenance, and upgrade activities at project sites
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with technical drawings, electrical codes, and safety protocols
• Analyze field conditions and troubleshoot electrical distribution system issues to ensure optimal performance
• Prepare and maintain detailed site reports, inspection logs, and project documentation
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure efficient project execution and timely completion
• Interpret and verify technical drawings, specifications, and design documents for accuracy and feasibility
• Monitor electrical equipment installation, testing, and commissioning procedures
• Ensure adherence to Indian electrical safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions to maintain site safety and quality standards
• Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to senior management and stakeholders
• Organize and manage site resources, materials, and equipment inventory

• Proven experience in electrical distribution systems, power networks, or related infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety management and Indian electrical codes and standards
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and electrical schematics
• Experience with site supervision, project coordination, and field management
• Analytical and problem-solving skill set with attention to detail
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design and documentation software
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with diverse teams
• Experience with electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, and distribution networks
• Familiarity with quality assurance and inspection procedures
• Preferred: Experience with renewable energy distribution systems or smart grid technologies
• Preferred: Knowledge of project management tools and software

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the power distribution sector.
• Experience in DISCOM or similar government power projects will be preferred.
