Your craft expertise will breathe life into iconic and beloved characters for players.
As an Principal Animation Artist on our Unpublished R&D Product you will be responsible for all aspects of player-facing animation systems and character performance from early ideation to final shipping quality release. Your critical eye for quality and appeal will help strengthen our animation style. - Guide and mentor animators, elevating craft quality across the team
- Influence cross-team collaboration and alignment on animation-related systems and pipelines
- Identify opportunities to improve tools, pipelines, and production strategies at a broader level
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional experience in game or entertainment animation
- Experience defining animation pipelines or standards at a team or project level
- Expert proficiency in Maya
- Extensive experience working with Unreal Engine
- Deep understanding of animation systems, state machines, and runtime behaviors
- Experience owning and delivering complex animation systems across a project lifecycle
- Proven ability to influence cross-disciplinary teams and drive alignment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable solutions
- Experience mentoring and elevating other animators
- Familiar with the League of Legends IP and art style.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English
- Background in both gameplay and cinematic animation workflows
- Experience collaborating on complex system design with engineering and design
- Strong understanding of performance considerations in real-time animation
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about the experiences of players, this could be the role for you!
As a part of the application process, you will be expected to provide a portfolio or demo reel of their work and may be asked to complete an art test.
