Are you interested in an internship opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) or graduate (MS) degree to participate in a 3 month paid internship. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.
Support the Multi-Vendor Services (MVS) business as a Biomedical Equipment Technician Intern for Philips customers in the Valhalla, NY area. This position will support customer relationship management through the application of technical knowledge to assist with installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining equipment at customer sites; support service revenue activities; and adhere to state and federal regulatory requirements.
Your role:
Support the completion of preventative maintenance (PM), Field Change Orders (FCOs), installations, and related tasks under supervision, assisting with diagnosing and resolving electronic, network, and mechanical issues. Utilize service manuals, tools, training (on-the-job, manufacturer, 3rd party), support resources, and established escalation processes within required timeframes to help resolve customer and system issues effectively.
Deliver strong customer service by supporting customer entitlements, setting clear expectations with guidance from the team, and helping meet commitments to address customer needs. Learn to understand the customer’s business and support priorities communicated by site leadership.
Actively participate as a member of the onsite work team; contribute to team processes and identify learning and training opportunities. Seek out opportunities to build technical capability and capacity (i.e., training on a diverse range of equipment and tools).
Complete administrative duties within established Philips, State, and Federal regulatory requirements and timeframes, including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, PM, FCO, installation documentation, site and service records, and other related paperwork. Adhere to required training, quality, and safety guidelines.
This role is onsite Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM.
You're the right fit if:
You are currently pursuing a minimum of a BS in Electronics, Engineering, Healthcare or related field.
You have experience or are interested in a medical service environment or other electromechanical industries. Experience with general biomedical equipment, patient monitoring, ventilators, defibrillators, and/or infusion pumps is preferred.
Your skills include the ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment, knowledge and use of all necessary tools and test equipment is preferred.
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
You must be able to:
Work in a hospital/healthcare environment; adhere to requirements.
Safely work with radiation sources and/or radioactive materials; wear all required personal protective equipment.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This is an onsite role.

Philips Transparency Details
The hourly pay range for this position is Bachelor Level: $24 – 36 an hour; Masters Level $33-$46 an hour plus overtime eligible.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Valhalla, NY.
