Position Summary
The Manager, Executive Chef / Retail is responsible for directing and supervising the production and staff in all phases of hot and cold food production for patients, cafeteria, and catered events to assure a high standard of quality and selection of foods, while remaining within the guidelines of cost effectiveness. The Manager, Executive Chef /Retail innovates and orchestrates the creating, testing, costing, standardizing, and implementing of foods that are palatable and visually appealing, following the standard practices and complying with regulatory requirements, i.e., Department of Health and Joint Commission.
Education
Graduate of accredited program in Culinary Arts with Associates or BS. degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years culinary supervisory/managerial position in hotel, restaurant, B & I, or health care setting.
Special Skills/Qualifications
Serv Safe certification required. Demonstrated managerial skills. Must be able to use Windows based programs. Knowledge of Word and Excel is required.
