We’re looking for you to join our team as Senior Principal Contract Administrator based out of our Linthicum, MD area offices. This is an onsite position that offers the 9/80 work schedule.
What You’ll Get to Do
This requisition represents roles within our Mission Systems Sector Contracts organization. The Senior Principal Contract Administrator (CA) will have significant visibility within key programs including support of Division, Sector, and Corporate level submittals & reviews. The CA will be directly involved in negotiations with customers as a strategic team member. Opportunities exist within the Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability (MSTS) Division and will support the Land & Maritime Sensors (LMS) Business Unit in either the Long Range Air Defense & Domestic Systems (LRAD & DS) Organizational Unit or the Maritime Electronic and Information Warfare (MEIW) Organizational Unit.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As an integral member of the LMS Business Unit, the Candidates will:
- Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts
- Act as primary interface with customer for contractual issues
- Support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with Company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
- Review and analyze customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on terms and conditions
- Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification, and all other potential risk areas and recommending risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure Company proposals are fully responsive to customer requirements, coordinate appropriate levels of internal review for approval prior to submission
- Manage proposal fact-finding and conduct negotiations with customer with support from the program team
- Collaborate with other functional groups (finance, supply chain, mission assurance, legal, etc.) during all phases of the contract lifecycle
- Work under general supervision to develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure Company compliance with contract requirements
- Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters
- Duties may also include the preparation and maintenance of proprietary information agreements, memorandum of understanding and other types of agreements
- Maintaining contract data into Contract Management System and/or Enterprise Accounting System.
The CA must be able to manage tight deadlines and meet high performance expectations in a complex and dynamic contracting environment. They must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong organizational and customer service skills. The ideal candidates are team players who can provide clear direction and guidance to Prime customers and internal stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience - OR - a Master's degree with 6 years of experience.
- Will consider 12 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement
- Working knowledge of commercial and government contracting
- Experience with, and understanding of, FAR/DFARs and associated Federal Contracting regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, (specifically Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to travel 10% of the time, domestically and/or internationally
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret level security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior proposal preparation and negotiation experience
- Law, business, or relevant advanced degree
- Prior experience with Fixed Price contracts
- Experience/familiarity with large federal and/or commercial international programs
- Current, active U.S. Government Secret level security clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $168,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
