Senior Platform (DevOps) Engineer

As a Senior Platform Engineer focused on Security and Reliability, you’ll design and operate the foundational systems that power Wix’s production infrastructure in an AI-first era. You’ll build secure-by-default, highly automated platforms spanning Kubernetes, multi-cloud environments, identity systems, and developer infrastructure—while integrating AI-driven automation into the core of how infrastructure is built, secured, and operated.
This role goes beyond traditional infrastructure engineering: you’ll help define how modern AI-assisted systems are deployed safely, observed intelligently, and operated at global scale.

What you’ll do
You will design and evolve the next generation of secure, self-healing infrastructure platforms:

• Build and operate AI-aware supply chain security systems, including provenance tracking, dependency governance, SBOM enforcement, and automated risk scoring for production workloads
• Own and evolve identity, access, and secrets infrastructure across multi-cloud and multi-region environments, with strong focus on zero-trust and continuous authorization
• Design policy-as-code and intent-driven governance frameworks across Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud-native stacks, enabling real-time compliance and drift remediation
• Develop runtime security and anomaly detection systems, enhanced with AI-driven signal correlation, automated triage, and incident summarization
• Lead the design of highly reliable, globally distributed infrastructure systems, balancing security, resilience, performance, and cost efficiency across data centers and cloud providers
• Build internal platforms that enable AI-assisted infrastructure operations, including agentic workflows for debugging, incident response, change validation, and code review
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and product teams to embed secure-by-design and reliability-by-default principles into every layer of the stack

• Strong collaboration skills, with a team-first mindset and high sense of ownership and responsibility
• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, SRE, or security engineering in large-scale production environments
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in at least one modern language (Go, Python, Java, or similar)
• Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes at scale, including workload isolation, network policy, admission control, and cluster operations
• Production experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or GCP), including networking, IAM, and distributed system design
• Strong background in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm, or similar) and large-scale infrastructure lifecycle management
• Solid understanding of cloud security, identity systems, and zero-trust architecture
• Experience designing systems—not just operating them—with a strong focus on automation, scalability, and reliability
• Comfort working in AI-augmented engineering environments, using AI tools for design, debugging, incident response, and code generation
