Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Cardiology

Providence St. Vincent Medical Center (PSVMC) is a 523-bed community teaching hospital and tertiary referral center. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – Cardiology provides care to patients in our cardiology wards and procedural areas, frequently practicing under clinical pharmacy agreements. At our cardiac center for the Providence Oregon Region, pharmacists care for complex patients, including those receiving advanced heart failure therapies and heart transplant. They respond to medical emergencies. They are preceptors for our large residency class and for students in our layered learning model. Clinical pharmacy specialists are additionally responsible for developing initiatives and policies to improve medication utilization. Our pharmacists work 10-hour shifts (weekdays and every third weekend).
