Job description
The ERP Systems Analyst is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Unit4 and the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), SmartRecruiters. The position focuses on configuring user-facing system features and translating business requirements into functional system solutions that align with organizational standards and best practices.
The ERP Systems Analyst configures and maintains workflows, automations, alerts, reports, and business rules to improve system efficiency, data accuracy, and user experience.
The incumbent performs the following duties:
- Designs, configures, implements, and documents ERP and ATS system features, including workflows, business rules, forms, user roles, notifications, and other user-facing components, to support efficient and compliant business processes.
- Analyses business requirements and translates them into system solutions that meet user needs and align with organizational and system governance standards.
- Supports system testing and validation activities, including developing test cases, executing test plans, and documenting results prior to deployment.
- Maintains data quality and system reliability by validating inputs, monitoring data flows, and applying appropriate system controls.
- Provides end‑user support and training, including preparing reference materials and responding to system‑related inquiries to promote effective and consistent system use.
Education:
- Post-secondary education in a field relevant to the position, such as information systems, management information systems, business administration, or computer science, or an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.
Experience:
- Experience configuring and supporting an ERP system in a functional or systems analyst role.
- Experience supporting system workflows, business rules, and other configurable system features.
- Experience analysing business processes and translating business requirements into ERP system solutions that support operational needs and usability.
- Experience conducting system testing activities, including developing test cases, executing test plans, and documenting results.
- Experience validating system data and configured outputs to support reporting accuracy and system reliability.
- Experience providing guidance and support to end users, including explaining configured system functionality to non-technical audiences.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of enterprise system concepts, including configuration, integration, and lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of best practices related to system testing, change management, and documentation.
- Knowledge of data management principles, including data accuracy, validation, and reporting.
- Knowledge of business process analysis and methods for optimizing workflows and automations.
- Knowledge of privacy, security, and compliance considerations related to enterprise systems, particularly in a public sector environment.

Asset Criteria:
- Experience working in the Unit4 ERP system.
- Experience supporting enterprise systems in a parliamentary, government, or broader public sector organization.
- Experience configuring or supporting reporting, dashboards, or standard system outputs for business users.
- Experience applying user experience (UX) and accessibility design principles in system or process development.
Conditions of Employment:
- A successful pre-employment security screening.

Education and experience requirements will be used to determine which candidates will be asked to participate in the next stage of the selection process.
This selection process may include a second-language evaluation, a written exam, and an interview. The interview will consist of behavioural, situational and knowledge-based questions. Candidates will be required to pass each stage in order to move to the next stage of the selection process.
Qualified candidates from this selection process may be considered for determinate or indeterminate positions at the Library of Parliament that require similar knowledge and/or competencies.
Satisfactory references and proof of education are essential conditions of appointment.
