Job description
Overview CORT is hiring a remote, full-time Facilities Engineering & Construction Manager to lead the design, buildout, and ongoing management of facilities across the organization. This role is ideal for someone with strong industrial or construction engineering experience who can evaluate warehouse operations, optimize space utilization, and improve racking and infrastructure to support business efficiency. In this role, you will oversee construction and renovation projects from planning through completion, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all permitting and code requirements. You will be responsible for the optimization of the company ’s warehouse environment , using new technologies and data analysis to increase labor productivity through building design and equipment . You’ll partner closely with internal stakeholders and field teams to balance operational needs with budget considerations, while managing vendors, contractors, and project performance. This position also leads the Facilities Coordinator and plays a key role in driving continuous improvement across our facilities. Salary: $96,000–$106,000 per year Travel: Occasional travel within the United States, as needed Location & Eligibility: This is a remote role for candidates located within the continental U.S. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis; visa sponsorship is not available. Perform and analyze t ime and motion studies . Improve l abor productivity through building design and equipment . Coordinate permitting, inspections, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations . Plan, schedule, and oversee construction, renovation, and facility improvement projects . Develop budgets, capital expenditure requests, and track project costs against approved estimates . Direct and supervise construction projects, including contractors and vendors . Lead bidding processes and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective, high-quality project execution . Optimize facility layout, equipment utilization , and infrastructure to support operational efficiency . Evaluate and implement new technologies or process improvements to enhance facility performance . Directly manage Facilities Coordinator, including setting priorities, assigning work, providing coaching and feedback, ensuring timely completion of facility-related tasks, and supporting professional development to maintain efficient day-to-day facilities operations.
