Guided by our purpose - creating a brighter future for all through high-quality education and research - we are seeking a Senior Lecturer (Level C) with deep expertise in secondary initial teacher education (ITE), particularly in program design, accreditation, and innovation in online delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a bold program of transformation. You will play a central role in reimagining a digital-first, online, on-demand postgraduate secondary teacher education program - one that is evidence-informed, student-centred, and aligned with evolving professional, regulatory, and workforce expectations. The program will prioritise flexibility, quality, and accessibility, while delivering an outstanding experience for a diverse cohort of students.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, in person and online student-centred teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programs, fostering engagement and an outstanding student experience.
  • Lead curriculum development, innovation and accreditation, incorporating evidence-informed and technology-enhanced approaches to improve learning, retention and graduate outcomes.
  • Provide educational leadership within the discipline, including oversight of courses and programs to ensure continuous quality and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Conduct and publish high-quality, impactful research, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and successfully attracting competitive research funding.
  • Provide leadership and supervision in higher degree research (HDR), supporting candidate success and strengthening the research pipeline.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with industry and the broader community, enhancing the discipline’s reputation through collaboration, engagement and impactful scholarship.

This is a continuing, full-time position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast or Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.  Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range
The full-time base salary will be Senior Lecturer (Level C) in the range $143,418 - $165,374 per annum, plus 17% superannuation. The total package will be in the range $167,799 - $193,487 per annum.

The successful candidate will hold a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, student-centred learning experiences across undergraduate and postgraduate programs including eligibility for teacher registration in Queensland.
  • Proven ability to lead curriculum development and apply innovative, evidence-based and technology-enhanced teaching practices to improve student outcomes.
  • Established record of independent, high-quality research with demonstrated impact, including publications and success in attracting competitive research funding.
  • Experience in providing academic leadership, including coordination of courses/programs and contributing to discipline or School initiatives.
  • Demonstrated capability in supervising higher degree research (HDR) candidates and fostering a strong research training environment.
  • Strong track record of engagement with industry, community and professional partners, contributing to collaboration, impact and reputation building.
