• 8 days on 6 days off roster

Job Summary

Responsible for increasing availability of ancillary equipment, and ensuring repairs and maintenance is carried out provision of safe and reliable electrical maintenance assistance, and prevention of breakdown of heavy mobile mining equipment

Job Statement

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our progressive Light Vehicle and Ancillary maintenance team at our Leonora based Gwalia operation, where the ‘way we work’ is just as important as your trades expertise!

You will support preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and unplanned repairs on our Heavy mobile Komatsu and Caterpillar Ancillary surface fleet, playing a critical role in driving reliability, safety, and efficiency. The role is on offer on a lifestyle 8 days on 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth.

Key responsibilities also include:

• Ensure that works are performed safely, efficiently and in line with WHS legislation

• Ensure that equipment is maintained to company standards and as per OEM specifications

• Report to the Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Fitter on day-to-day activities, breakdowns and labour requirements

• Promote and maintain a positive safety culture within the team

 

About You

Collaboration is key! You will be team focused and have the ability to work together with others to resolve day to day challenges, supported by strong technical expertise in modern mining fleets.

You will also have the following: 

• Driver’s license (HR License)

• WA‑recognised Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel Fitting (or equivalent)

• Established experience in mobile equipment maintenance in mining

• Developed safe operating practices

• Excellent communication and people skills
