Our challenge

The Senior Global Events Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing a world-class events strategy that drives brand awareness, generates pipeline, and deepens client and prospect engagement. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role leads the full lifecycle of events — from strategy and planning through to delivery and post-event measurement — across owned, sponsored, and partner events globally.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $130k - $150k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Events Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and own the annual events marketing calendar, aligned to business objectives, campaigns, and go-to-market priorities.
  • Define event formats, target audiences, and success metrics for owned events, third-party sponsorships, and partner activations.
  • Manage the events budget with rigorous tracking, forecasting, and ROI reporting.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Executive leadership to shape event narratives and priorities.
  • Event Execution & Operations
  • Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of flagship owned events including conferences, roundtables, webinars, and executive dinners.
  • Manage venue selection, vendor negotiations, contract management, and logistics for in-person and hybrid events.
  • Oversee event technology platforms (registration, virtual event tools, CRM integrations) to ensure seamless attendee experiences.
  • Build and manage detailed run-of-show documents, staffing plans, and on-site coordination.
  • Marketing & Audience Development
  • Design integrated pre- and post-event marketing programs across email, social, paid, and partner channels to drive registration and engagement.
  • Collaborate with content and design teams to develop compelling event branding, collateral, and digital assets.
  • Build targeted attendee acquisition strategies to ensure the right audience mix at each event.
  • Develop post-event nurture journeys in partnership with Demand Generation to convert attendees into pipeline.
  • Measurement & Reporting
  • Define KPIs for each event type and provide timely post-event reports covering attendance, engagement, pipeline influence, and ROI.
  • Maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks to track events performance against targets.
  • Use data and attendee feedback to continuously improve event quality and format.
  • Team Leadership
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of events coordinators and specialists.
  • Set clear objectives, provide ongoing feedback, and support career development.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, PR, and Executive teams to align on event goals and deliverables.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of events marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or team lead capacity.
  • Proven track record of planning and executing large-scale B2B events (conferences, summits, executive forums).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing six-figure events budgets.
  • Proficiency with event management platforms
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience measuring event ROI and influencing pipeline.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience in financial services, professional services, or enterprise technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, HubSpot).
  • Experience with global or multi-region event programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related
