Job description

Mentimeter is an engagement tool with a clear goal in mind. To turn presentations into conversations. Through real-time interactivity and clear visualizations, we get people to participate, engage and become more productive. Transforming all those passive meetings, airless classrooms and drawn out trainings into valuable and memorable moments.

We truly believe that you achieve the best results by doing things together. And that successful leaders need to adopt a curious and collaborative mindset in order to get there. So with you at Mentimeter, you’ll be a big part of the ambition to help over 1 billion people listen, learn and work better together.

Mentimeter’s vision is to transform presentations into engaging, interactive experiences where every voice is heard. As we scale globally, we’re strengthening how we build compliant, user-centric products, and this role is central to that.

We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to join our legal team. As a Junior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of legal support and knowledge to various aspects of the business. You will work closely with our General Counsel (GC) and the rest of the Legal team in owning and developing legal processes. The right candidate for this role is someone who thrives in an environment where there’s a lot of autonomy and freedom, seizes opportunities to drive meaningful results, and is excited to help us build and develop our legal infrastructure.

What you will do:

  • Support GC in various corporate matters, such as with incentive programs, preparing shareholder meetings and corporate governance matters
  • Assist our international sales teams, in Stockholm, Toronto and Sydney, with customer requests and support in customer discussions/negotiations
  • Draft and review contracts and other business documents with both suppliers and customers such as purchase agreements, non-disclosure agreements and supply agreements
  • Manage the lifecycle of incentive programmes and assist in designing new incentive structures as we grow
  • Respond to questions and inquiries from other teams within the company or assigned by the GC regarding various sets of legal matters
  • Support in developing a scalable and business-minded legal platform for the organization
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

We believe you have:

  • A law degree (preferably from a Swedish University)
  • Some (1-3 years) hands-on work experience from a legal role, as an inhouse company lawyer or within a law firm (law firm, and especially within corporate or corporate commercial, is a plus)
  • Strong organizational-, communication-, negotiation- and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work well with others as well as independently in a fast-paced environment, where you make your own decisions and sometimes without 100% guiding
  • Business-level knowledge of English in speaking and writing, with excellent drafting skills

It's a bonus if you:

  • Have experience communicating with shareholders, investors, and other external stakeholders, and feel comfortable navigating the formalities that come with being a public company
  • Are genuinely tech-savvy and eager to become the go-to person for our legal systems and tools – owning, optimising, and getting the most out of the platforms we use across the legal function
  • Are structured by nature and have a flair for administration, keeping processes, documentation, and workflows organised and running smoothly
  • Have the ability to manage and architect complex incentive programmes that align with company growth
  • Have experience identifying process bottlenecks and implementing scalable legal solutions, such as AI agents, playbooks, or other automation
  • Have a strong interest in the tech industry and the international start-up/scale-up scene is highly beneficial

📍 Location: This is primarily an onsite role at Mentimeter HQ in Stockholm, with the opportunity to work from home up to twice per week.
Please note that we do not offer work visa or relocation sponsorship for this position.

AI and Hiring at Mentimeter
At Mentimeter, we believe AI helps us work smarter - but it never replaces the human assessment, curiosity, and personal connection that define our culture and our hiring. We use AI as a sparring partner: to bounce ideas, bring new perspectives, support structure, and make our work more efficient. But the meaning, decisions, and interactions always come from people.
  • AI does not screen or decide on candidates.
  • There is no automated filtering, ranking, or decision-making in our recruitment process. Every application is reviewed by a person.
  • Hiring teams may use AI to support their work - for example, to structure notes, prepare interview questions, or organize their thinking.
AI strengthens our work, but it does not define it. At Mentimeter, we’re not building an AI-driven hiring process - we’re building a people-first culture, where technology helps us listen, learn, and grow together.

Culture at Mentimeter
At Mentimeter we believe in giving everyone a voice - regardless of who you are. So we build a platform that does just that. Our platform is not only our product but also our organization. A platform where people feel safe, where differences are embraced, a place where you can have fun. We strongly encourage applicants who are people of color, LGBTQ+, women, people with disabilities, and/or formerly incarcerated people, and a college degree is not strictly required. In order to give everyone a voice, we need to be as diverse as our users.
