Your Role at Baxter

Lead the integrated management of Health, Safety, and Environment (EHS) through the design, implementation, and optimization of systems, processes, and strategies that ensure regulatory compliance, operational sustainability, and the integration of a culture of continuous improvement aligned with business objectives.

What you'll be doing

  • Design and execute the EHS strategy aligned with corporate and site objectives.

  • Translate the strategy into measurable tactical plans with key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Integrate EHS as an enabler of operational excellence and sustainability.

  • Design, standardize, and optimize critical EHS processes (compliance, audits, permits, risk management, waste, occupational health).

  • Implement continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis).

  • Ensure the traceability, efficiency, and control of processes through indicators and dashboards.

  • Establish a robust legal and corporate compliance model, anticipating regulatory changes.

  • Define internal control and audit mechanisms that guarantee sustained compliance.

  • Act as a strategic liaison with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders.

  • Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of EHS risks using analytical and predictive tools.

  • Integrate risk management into business decision-making.

  • Ensure a proactive rather than reactive approach.

  • Foster a safety and sustainability culture based on behaviors and accountability.

  • Develop organizational capabilities in EHS at all levels.

  • Influence functional leaders to integrate EHS into their operations.

  • Lead audits focused on system effectiveness, not just compliance.

  • • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency in EHS.

  • • Integrate EHS into continuous improvement and site transformation initiatives.

  • • Ensure the sustainability and evolution of management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001). • Evaluate the maturity of the EHS system and implement structural improvements.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or areas related to Safety, Health, and Environment.

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in Safety, Health, and Environment with a focus on regulatory compliance.

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in leadership roles.

  • Master's degree in environmental engineering, safety, technology, or related field (preferred).

  • Professional certification in Safety, Health, and Environment (CHMM, CSP, CIH, or similar) (preferred)

  • Advanced English at a written and conversational level
