Job description

As a Transportation Dispatcher, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the smooth execution of transportation operations. Your primary responsibilities will include assigning and scheduling work for drivers, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of trips, and maintaining precise records of all driving activities. In this dynamic role, you will actively support drivers by providing directions, updating them on traffic conditions, and relaying pertinent information.

As a Transportation Dispatcher, you will: 

  • Assign and schedule work to drivers to efficiently fulfill daily reservations/runs
  • Track and code the status of trips to ensure timely and accurate trip completion
  • Maintain an accurate record of their assigned driving activities.
  • Assist drivers with directions, traffic conditions or any pertinent information.
  • Monitor reservations and relay information pleasantly to drivers and customers.
  • Answer multiple phone lines, take and input reservations, dispatch drivers, track transports, maintain driver rotations, track airline flights, clear transports,  and have effective radio communication.

  • High school diploma or general education degree GED.
  • The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Follow instructions without close supervision.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
