Programing and Partnerships Operations Coordinator 

Full Time/Year-Round Position with Benefits 

Under the direction of the Programming & Partnerships Manager, the Programming & Partnerships Operations Coordinator is responsible for operational needs that pertain to special events, partnership activations and signature experiences. This job requires an enthusiastic individual who has a passion for events and the outdoors. This candidate must possess great communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to meet tight deadlines This job comes with a varying schedule that, at times, requires long, odd hours on nights and weekends in all seasons. 

Position Functions/Areas of Responsibility 

  • Execution of event, activation, and signature experience setup, show and teardown. 

  • Internal and external communication with vendors, third parties, and inter-resort departments to meet operational needs. 

  • Work with P&P Manager to develop event plans that are operationally functional and safe for all employees and participants. 

  • Arrange “Banquet Event Orders” for event needs as they pertain to food & beverage, A/V, seating, tables and tents.  

  • Play integral part in the 10-week Oktoberfest festival including the site build, vendor management, “Greeter” management, signage, ground maintenance and teardown. 

  • Assist P&P Manger in booking music & entertainers for events, food & beverage outlets and partner activations. 

  • Organize and maintain P&P storage areas and inventory on a consistent basis 

  • Travel outside resort to pick up equipment, supplies, tools and signage from Snowbird warehouse and third parties when necessary. 

  • Manage Subaru vehicle fleet including cleaning, arranging repairs and swapping tires. 

  • Work with P&P Manger to develop recaps of events, activations and signature experiences and determine ways to improve. 

  • Assist Marketing Team members with elements of the overall marketing strategy as they pertain to P&P. 

Interactions: 

Frequent contact with guests 

Direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management, and other departments. 

Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird. 

Education & Experience Requirements: 

High School Diploma or equivalent required 

Bachelor’s Degree required 

Minimum 1-2 years of events, marketing, partnerships work experience. Event experience required. 

Specific Requirements: 

Must be at least 21 years of age 

Valid Driver License with clean MVR 

Skills & Knowledge: 

  • Strong work ethic, growth mindset, positive attitude and collaborative spirit. 

  • Capable of learning on the fly, thinking quickly and making decisions in tough situations. 

  • Intuitive when it comes to problem solving and meeting new challenges; not easily frustrated.  

  • A passion for the outdoors, events, programming, and partnerships and how they can be utilized to elevate the guest experience. 

  • Ability to foster relationships regardless of personality or stature and maintain high level of professionalism regardless of situation.  

  • Willing to work in a physical, dynamic environment in a variety of weather conditions. 

  • Priority to provide fun opportunities for guests and employees with safety as a top priority 

  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel 

  • Good written and excellent verbal communication skills 

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail 

  • Advanced skier or snowboarder 

 

Working Conditions 
Work Schedule: 
-  Shifts vary, may be early morning or late evening, most weekends, holidays, depending on business levels. 
        
Mental: 
-  Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures. 
-  May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird. 
 

Physical: 
-  Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 
-  Must be able to stand for long periods of time. 
-  Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions. 
-  Work is outdoors and requires constant exposure to cold and other extreme weather conditions.
