GDBA’s Protective Intelligence Center (PIC) has a simple, but critical mission: protect our associates and support GDBA’s global operations. The Protective Intelligence Analysts (PIA) who operate the PIC are trained in both executive protection and intelligence collection, enabling them to directly support GDBA’s global anti-assassination mission.
A Protective Intelligence Analyst (PIA) in San Antonio will earn no less than $64,000 in base earnings during their first year. San Antonio-based PIA's could earn up to $77,000 in first year earnings when accounting for relevant experience, performance, and promotion opportunities.

What to Expect in Your Role as a Protective Intelligence Analyst:
- Monitor protected properties utilizing technologies such as cameras, early-warning systems, alarms, etc.
- Manage access control procedures by screening, verifying, and checking in all incoming visitors
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate resources
- Write clear, detailed reports documenting suspicious activity and security incidents
- Conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) research to identify threats and emerging risks that might impact GDBA Associates and clients
- Actively monitor news reporting, social media channels, and other external and proprietary sources for real-time identification and assessment of global events which might impact the safety and security of GDBA clients and associates.
- Maintain 24/7 awareness of geopolitical, criminal, environmental, and travel-related risks
- Complete behavioral threat assessment and investigative research as assigned, and with the purpose of supporting GDBA’s overall protective security and anti-assassination missions.
Who You Are:
GDBA’s ideal candidate for a Protective Intelligence Analyst possesses one or more of the following:
- 4+ years of military experience working in an Intelligence MOS - All intelligence-related MOS’s are welcome to apply such as: All-Source, HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, etc.
- 2+ years of experience working as an OSINT analyst
- 2+ years of experience working as a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) or Fusion Center analyst in either a public or private sector setting.
- A college degree or real-world experience in intelligence analysis, executive protection, investigations, or threat assessment
Hiring Process Requirements:
- 12-Day Introductory Training Academy in San Antonio, TX
- Be able to pass physical readiness test (Pull-ups, Push-ups, Sit-ups, 800m run)
- Must be able to swim
- Must be drug and nicotine free
- Background check required
- Must be able to obtain appropriate state firearm and security licensing
