Clinical Manager – Assistive Care and State Programs

Position Summary

The Clinical Manager plays a vital leadership role in supporting our Assistive Care State Programs services by leading field staff in delivering excellent client service, clinical quality, and adherence to policies and procedures.

This role is accountable for clinical oversight, internal case management, field staff development, and collaboration with office partners to ensure clients receive safe, high-quality care in the home. The Clinical Manager also helps support program compliance, coordination of care, and strong outcomes for clients, families, and referral sources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead field staff in delivering excellent client service, clinical care, quality, and compliance in accordance with The BAYADA Way and Assistive Care State Programs expectations.

  • Conduct admission visits, clinical assessments, and care planning activities as needed to support safe service initiation and continuity of care.

  • Serve as an internal case manager and client advocate by collaborating with clients, families, field staff, physicians, case managers, and other members of the care team regarding client status, care plans, and service needs.

  • Review clinical documentation to ensure services are accurate, timely, high quality, and compliant with policy, payor, and program requirements.

  • Ensure individualized plans of care are developed, implemented, and updated based on ongoing clinical assessment and client needs.

  • Provide clinical supervision and oversight to field employees through competency validation, documentation review, home visits, coaching, and performance feedback.

  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, orientation, and ongoing development of field staff to build a capable and reliable workforce.

  • Partner closely with Client Services and office team members to support staffing readiness, continuity of care, employee development, and strong communication across the office.

  • Function as a liaison between field and office staff to help resolve client care issues and maintain service excellence.

  • Support office efforts related to quality improvement, infection prevention, incident follow-up, and regulatory readiness as applicable.

  • Represent BAYADA professionally in community and marketing activities and help strengthen relationships that support office and program growth.

  • Maintain current knowledge of BAYADA policies, state program requirements, and applicable regulations governing care delivery and supervision.

  • Support shared office responsibilities as needed, including teamwork across operational and administrative functions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Exemplifies the values of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence, and reliability.

  • Current license in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the state of MO.

  • Graduate of an accredited and approved nursing program.

  • Prior supervisory experience commensurate with program requirements.

  • Minimum of two years of related clinical experience, preferably including home care, community-based care, or other relevant case management experience.

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated record of goal achievement and ability to successfully take on increasing responsibility.

  • Competence in basic PC skills required to perform job functions.

  • Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English.

  • Must satisfy all applicable background screening, competency, and continuing education requirements.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in Assistive Care, Medicaid/state-funded programs, waiver services, or other community-based service models.

  • Experience coordinating care across multiple stakeholders, including families, referral sources, support coordinators, and community partners.

  • Experience supervising and developing paraprofessional or home care field staff in a service office environment.
