About Customuse
Customuse is building an AI creative engine for image, video, and 3D. We bring leading AI models and pro creation tools into one workflow, helping creators and teams ideate, generate, edit, animate, texture, and produce publish-ready assets.
We are trusted by 15M+ creators and used across gaming, Roblox, animation, ecommerce, product design, architecture, and creative teams. The next chapter is turning Customuse into the default creative workspace for AI-native media production.
We are backed by Connect Ventures, Adjacent, and angels/operators from companies like Snap, Stripe, and SpaceX, with an investor network behind category-defining companies including Revolut and RevenueCat.
Location: London, in-office
Type: Full-time
Level: Early-career, roughly 0-3 years of experience
About the role
We are hiring a Creative Technologist to turn Customuse workflows into videos, tutorials, demos, and experiments that people want to copy.
This role sits between creator, filmmaker, product educator, and experimental technologist. You will push our AI image, video, and 3D tools creatively, find surprising use cases, and show creators what is possible.
What you'll do
- Create YouTube videos, tutorials, product demos, and short-form social content showing how to use Customuse
- Experiment with AI models, prompts, editing techniques, creator workflows, and production formats
- Turn product features into compelling examples, repeatable creative recipes, and visual stories
- Make fast platform-native videos for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and similar platforms
- Work with product and growth teams to identify which use cases resonate with creators and teams
- Iterate on hooks, titles, thumbnails, tutorial structures, pacing, and examples based on performance
You might be a fit if
- You spend your own time testing AI tools and creative workflows
- You have a video-making background: filming, editing, scripting, motion, VFX, animation, YouTube, or demos
- You can explain complex tools simply and make tutorials that are useful, visual, and fun to watch
- You care about pacing, examples, sound, structure, taste, and whether content feels native to the platform
- You like learning tools before there is a playbook and improving quickly through output
Nice to have
- Experience with Runway, Midjourney, Kling, Pika, Sora, Veo, ComfyUI, Stable Diffusion, ElevenLabs, HeyGen, CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Blender, or similar tools
- A YouTube channel, TikTok account, portfolio, showreel, or collection of AI experiments
- Background in film, VFX, creative computing, motion design, product content, or creator education
- Ability to write strong hooks, titles, thumbnails, and tutorial scripts
How to apply
Send your LinkedIn, portfolio or showreel, and 2-3 examples of videos, tutorials, AI experiments, demos, or creative projects you have made.
We care more about proof of taste, curiosity, and output than formal credentials.
What we offer
- Competitive salary and stock options
- Real ownership from day one on a product used by millions of creators
- Work at the intersection of AI, media creation, gaming, 3D, and creative tools
- A small, ambitious team with direct feedback, high trust, and high standards
- Central London office
Hiring process
- Screening call
- Role-specific interview
- Practical working session or case study
- Culture fit interview and meet the team
- Reference check and offer
We value ambition and trajectory over years of experience. We move quickly and hold a high bar, but you will get real ownership, direct feedback, and the chance to do career-defining work with a small, ambitious team.
