Position Overview:
The Senior Loan Processor supports the North Richland Hills, TX office of CrossCountry Mortgage. The Senior Loan Processor is responsible for obtaining, reviewing, and verifying documentation required to underwrite residential mortgage Loans. This role works closely with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors to ensure files are complete, compliant, and moving efficiently through the loan process from application to closing. The Senior Loan Processor is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in managing a dynamic pipeline while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring regulatory compliance.

This position operates within Central Standard Time Zone working hours to support the Central region.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors to obtain documentation and clear Loan conditions in a timely manner.
  • Order and manage vendor services including verifications of employment, title commitments, appraisals, payoff statements, homeowner's insurance, and other required documentation.
  • Review borrower income, assets, credit, and overall loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to investor and agency guidelines prior to underwriting submission.
  • Prepare complete loan files for initial underwriting submission and subsequent submissions.
  • Identify potential issues proactively and collaborate with all parties to resolve concerns prior to closing.
  • Maintain consistent communication with borrowers regarding outstanding conditions, documentation requests, and loan status updates.
  • Ensure all regulatory disclosures and re-disclosures are prepared and delivered accurately and within required timelines, including Initial Disclosures, Revised Loan Estimates, and Closing Disclosures.
  • Review files for compliance with RESPA, TRID, TILA, HMDA, Regulation B, Regulation Z, and all applicable federal, state, and investor requirements.
  • Manage an active pipeline while meeting company turn-time expectations, service level agreements (SLAs), and estimated closing dates.
  • Participate in pipeline meetings and provide timely updates on loan status and outstanding items.
  • Complete loan submission, closing, and post-closing checklists as required.
  • Assist teammates with pipeline coverage and provide support across operations when needed.
  • Coordinate with closing, secondary, and servicing departments to clear outstanding suspense or funding conditions.
  • Complete all required company training by assigned deadlines.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of residential mortgage processing experience, preferred.
  • Experience with Encompass, preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan programs and mortgage lending guidelines.
  • Knowledge of Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Product Advisor (LP).
  • Thorough understanding of RESPA, TRID, TILA, HMDA, Regulation B, Regulation Z, and related mortgage compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Skilled at prioritizing and managing multiple loans simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-service-focused approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Windows-based systems.
