OBJECTIF DU POSTE :

Le ou la consultant(e) en médecine interne agit à titre de ressource professionnelle de confiance auprès de la clientèle vétérinaire en offrant des consultations médicales précises, rapides et fondées sur une expertise approfondie ainsi qu’un esprit de collaboration professionnelle.

Le rôle couvre l’ensemble des domaines de la médecine interne des petits animaux, avec une attention particulière portée au raisonnement diagnostique, à la sélection et à l’interprétation des tests diagnostiques, à l’élaboration des plans de traitement, au suivi des patients ainsi qu’à la prévention des maladies chez les chiens et les chats.

TÂCHES ET RESPONSABILITÉS :

• Offrir des consultations médicales de pair à pair aux clients vétérinaires avec professionnalisme, bienveillance et empathie, en fournissant des conseils d’expert sur l’interprétation des résultats de laboratoire, la sélection des tests diagnostiques et la gestion des cas cliniques.
• Développer et maintenir une connaissance approfondie de l’ensemble des produits et services offerts, y compris les tests exclusifs et les solutions diagnostiques en clinique.
• Établir et renforcer des relations professionnelles et collaboratives avec les clients tout au long du processus de consultation.
• Contribuer activement à la culture d’équipe en soutenant les collègues, en partageant les connaissances cliniques et en participant au développement de matériel et de ressources de formation internes.
• Soutenir les services de consultation et collaborer avec les différents départements au besoin.
• Participer aux réunions de consultants ainsi qu’aux activités de formation continue.
• Bien que cela ne constitue pas une responsabilité principale du poste, des occasions de participer à des projets spéciaux ou de contribuer à la création et à la diffusion de matériel de soutien destiné aux clients peuvent se présenter.

FORMATION / EXPÉRIENCE :

• Doctorat en médecine vétérinaire (DMV/DVM/VMD) ou diplôme équivalent, avec permis d’exercice valide délivré par l’ordre professionnel vétérinaire de la province ou de l’État de résidence.
• Formation en résidence complétée et certification reconnue en médecine interne des petits animaux (ACVIM ou ECVIM).
• Minimum de cinq (5) années d’expérience clinique après l’obtention de la certification de spécialiste.
• Bonne maîtrise de l’anglais, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit, un atout.
• Bilinguisme (français et anglais), tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit, un atout important.

• Fluency in English, both spoken and written a plus
