Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and establish the domain architecture for the Trade domain, ensuring alignment with enterprise and security architecture principles.
  • Develop and maintain the Trade domain architecture roadmap in line with the overall enterprise architecture strategy.
  • Take accountability for end-to-end architecture of the Trade domain, including tactical initiatives, country rollouts, and quarterly releases, ensuring compliance with architectural and security standards.
  • Standardize and govern application architecture across Trade systems, while identifying opportunities to adopt emerging technologies for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with T&O Program Managers and Functional Business Analysts to design comprehensive solution architectures, including application, technical, data, and security components.
  • Work in partnership with Technical Delivery Managers (TDMs) and System Analysts to ensure effective execution.
  • Provide architectural guidance and best practices, ensuring adherence to enterprise, domain, and security standards.
  • Present and validate solution designs through architecture governance forums and secure necessary approvals.
  • Partner with System Analysts to ensure technical designs comply with enterprise architecture principles, as well as security and control requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Strong domain knowledge in Trade Finance and/or Supply Chain Finance.
  • More than 15 years of IT experience, with significant exposure to architecture, design, and large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Proven experience in solution and/or domain architecture roles within banking or financial services.
  • Strong experience in designing and delivering distributed, scalable, and high-availability applications.
  • Expertise in microservices architecture, API-driven design, and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, JMS).
  • Strong technical background in Java/J2EE technologies (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA, REST APIs) preferred.
  • Experience or strong understanding of cloud-native architecture principles and public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of integration technologies (API gateways, messaging platforms, IBM MQ).
  • Experience in modernizing legacy systems and driving transformation to microservices-based architectures.
  • Good understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Git, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and iterative delivery models.
  • Experience in working with globally distributed teams and supporting large transformation programs.
  • Strong focus on system performance, resilience, and production stability.
  • Good understanding of security, risk, and compliance requirements in banking systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and contribute to architectural governance decisions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution design capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications are an advantage but not mandatory.
