Job description

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering and construction capital projects in Viva Energy operating fuel terminals in Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia and occasionally interstate including bulk tank, pipeline, gantry, electrical infrastructure, control systems, buildings and services.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder engagement from concept through commissioning.
  • Scope development and contract management for engineering service providers and coordinate engineering, operations, HSE, contractors and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure projects meet technical, safety and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare project documentation as per project management framework, forecasts, approvals and progress reporting.
  • Drive strong contractor performance and support continuous improvement in project delivery.

About you

  • As a minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical or similar), RPEQ and/or project management (PMP, AIPM or similar) certifications valued.
  • Experience in project engineering and project management ideally within fuel terminals, oil & gas, petrochemical or heavy industrial environments / Major Hazard Facilities.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design, construction, commissioning and operational interfaces.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and operate effectively in live, brownfield environments
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.
