Open Pit Workshop Stores Person

Reporting to the Open Pit Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for the storage, issue and receipting of warehouse stock, spares and consumables. Picture large mining excavators, trucks, drills rigs, graders, dozers and other ancillary equipment.

Based at Macraes mine, this specific role will work a 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off, 7:00-4:30pm roster. 

For this role, we are ideally seeking a confident forklift operator with at least a couple of years’ experience loading/unloading heavy goods. Any additional experience with high reach would be a great bonus also. 

• Forklift operation
• Inventory control - receiving, issuing, storage, inward/outward shipping of supply
• Daily and rolling stock takes, accurately recording levels
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Operating the forklift in a safe and efficient manner
• Comply with all safety requirements, company policies and procedures
• Data entry and processing of invoices
• Supply of goods and materials in a timely manner

• Hold a full, clean, current driver’s licence & can drive a manual vehicle
• Unrestricted NZ work rights / current NZ Visa is required for this role
• Previous experience in warehousing, logistics or parts within an industrial, manufacturing or mining sector
• Licenced and confident forklift operation experience preferred
• Computer literacy is essential, experience with Excel, Pronto or SAP beneficial
• Qualification relating to warehousing or logistics beneficial

• 9-day fortnight roster - 5 on, 2 off, 4 on, 3 off, 7:00am - 4:30pm based at Macraes mine
