Veterinary Assistant (full or part time) Location: Pinecrest Veterinary Hospital, Owosso, Michigan Pinecrest Animal Hospital is a progressive, innovative 4-doctor small animal practice in Owosso, Michigan. Our team is known for delivering high-quality care using advanced diagnostics and treatments—including ultrasound, echocardiography, full in-house lab work, laser therapy, and a wide range of surgical procedures from routine to complex. Our story began in 1953 with Dr. Jerry Fries, a legendary mixed animal practitioner who served his community with dedication—even making house calls by plane and motorcycle! What You’ll Be Doing As a Veterinary Assistant , your duties will include: Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures. Providing compassionate care and handling for patients of all sizes and temperaments. Administering medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinary team. Preparing and maintaining exam rooms, surgical suites, and equipment. Performing diagnostic tests, such as lab work and radiography, under supervision. Educating clients on basic pet care and post-treatment instructions. Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring a clean and organized clinic environment.

What We’re Looking For Experience: 1 Year Experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required. Skills: Strong diagnostic, technical, and communication abilities. Anesthesia monitoring experience preferred. Mindset: A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care. Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods. Must be available on Saturday.
