Job Description
The Assembler is responsible for performing safe and precise assembly operations on 2"-36" products, including both OGS and AGS systems. This role requires attention to detail, quality inspection capabilities, and adherence to safety and manufacturing standards while maintaining accurate documentation and communication with cross-functional teams.
Job Expectations
- Learn and execute all elements of Safe Assembly Practices for 2"-36" Assembly, including both OGS (Oil & Gas Services) and AGS (Alternative Gas Services) systems
- Perform assembly tasks according to specifications, drawings, and bills of materials (BOM)
- Navigate and utilize Medix system appropriately for each job/spool assignment
- Conduct in-process inspections including dimensional checks, orientation verification, and part validation
- Perform additional inspections as required by product specifications
- Verify that all finished products meet or exceed customer standards
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and results when applicable
- Verify that all tools are in safe working condition prior to use
- Ensure tool calibration is current and up to date
- Properly maintain and care for all assigned equipment
- Complete all required daily checklists and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) tasks
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records
- Ensure all area 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) duties are completed
- Communicate effectively with Line Leads, Shift Supervisors, Operations Manager, and Engineering teams
- Report any issues or discrepancies found between drawings/models and BOMs promptly
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred
- Familiarity with SWI (Standard Work Instructions) and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) processes preferred
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Windows software preferred
- Strong understanding of shop math, including fraction-to-decimal conversion
- Ability to accurately read and use tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and vernier scales preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints desired
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
Pay: $18/hr
Schedule: Mon-Thursday 6am-4:30pm
