Job description
TERNA ENERGY , member of Masdar Group, is seeking a: Projects Cost Controller Essential Functions for the Role Monitor and control project budgets, cost performance, and financial progress across large-scale infrastructure and energy projects. Lead the implementation and maintenance of integrated project controls and financial reporting frameworks. Review and validate progress certifications, unit rate analyses, and contractor cost submissions. Ensure alignment of project cost reporting with approved baselines, forecasts, and schedules. Support project teams through Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis, including CPI and SPI performance indicators. Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, forecasting tools, cost trackers, and project control templates. Coordinate with PMO, construction, and engineering teams to support effective project governance and cost optimization. Identify financial risks, deviations, and corrective actions to ensure overall project performance and accountability. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Economics will be considered an asset. Professional certification such as CCP, PMP, or PRINCE2 will be considered an advantage. Minimum 10 years of experience in Project Controls, Cost Control, or PMO functions within capital-intensive projects. Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), cost forecasting, and performance analytics. Experience in progress certification reviews and cost verification procedures. Proficiency in project controls software and reporting/dashboard tools. Experience in large infrastructure, renewable energy, or hydropower projects will be considered an advantage. Excellent knowledge of English language (both oral and written). Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel.
