As an Equipment Warehouse Labourer / Driver, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, supporting both our tool and equipment yard and construction sites. The Equipment Warehouse Labourer /Driver is required to perform tasks involving physical labour at our area Tool and Equipment Yard and commercial construction projects. The Equipment Warehouse labourer / Driver is required to assist with Cleaning tools and equipment,, maintaining an organized warehouse and yard, and delivery of tools, material and small equipment to Chandos Construction Job sites.
In this dynamic role, no two days are the same. You’ll:
- Safely deliver tools, materials, and small equipment to Chandos job sites
- Clean, maintain, and organize tools and equipment in the warehouse and yard
- Pick and prepare orders using Tool Request Forms, as well as walk-in and phone requests
- Load, unload, identify, and properly store tools and equipment
- Conduct incoming and outgoing inspections to ensure equipment is safe and ready for use
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse, yard, and shop environment
- Work with a variety of tools and equipment, including jackhammers, drills, pumps, compressors, and power tools
We’re looking for a reliable, safety-focused team player who brings:
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
- Experience operating larger vehicles and securing loads (an asset)
- Familiarity with safe operation of hand and power tools
- Knowledge of workplace safety, including proper lifting and material handling techniques
- Confidence driving within city environments
- The ability to safely operate trucks, tools, and equipment
- Physical capability to lift heavy objects and climb ladders
