  • Support the transition from product development to manufacturing, including prototype builds and process validation

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions

  • Initiate and manage engineering changes (ECNs/CNs), assessing their impact on manufacturing, cost, quality, and lifecycle performance

  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and external suppliers

  • Monitor and report on project progress, milestones, and results

  • Stay current with trends and developments in manufacturing technologies and production methods, sharing insights with stakeholders

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Several years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, industrialization, or process engineering

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes, preferably in a high-mix or engineered-to-order environment

  • Proven experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt required)

  • Ability to influence product and process design decisions through technical expertise

  • Strong project management skills and experience working in cross-functional teams

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Clear and convincing communication skills in a multidisciplinary environment

What’s nice to have

  • Experience in capital investment projects and production line design

  • Exposure to full product lifecycle management, from concept to end-of-life

  • Experience with SAP and manufacturing-related IT systems

  • Six Sigma Black Belt training or certification

  • Ability to speak Dutch and Frisian
