The EHS Environmental Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental health and safety programs at EKC Advanced Electronics USA, LLC to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role focuses on environmental compliance, waste management, air emissions, water quality, and sustainability initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for compliance with environmental regulations, including air, water, and hazardous waste programs
- Responsible for compliance with Corporate Standards
- Manage ISO 14001 program
- Process Safety Management experience a plus
- Responsible for sustainability reporting and data tracking
- Lead environmental performance improvements and waste reduction initiatives
- Participate/Lead routine inspections and EHS auditing
- Open to learning and expanding expertise across additional EHS areas to strengthen team performance and better support site operations
- Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in an environmental engineering or EHS role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of federal (e.g., EPA, OSHA) and state environmental regulations (e.g., RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act).
- Experience with environmental permitting, reporting (e.g., TRI, air emissions, wastewater), and compliance auditing.
- Demonstrated experience in hazardous waste management and chemical handling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Certifications such as CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) or similar are a plus.
