Job description

Better begins here

Crown Resorts is a great place to visit and it’s an even better place to work, a place where you can play your part in creating fun, memorable, world-class experiences for our guests and our people. We value passion, optimism, and an appetite for change - for the better. Here, you’ll be part of the team, empowered to explore more, experience more and supported by your leader to grow and develop.

The People & Culture Business Partner is a trusted partner and member of the Crown Perth People & Culture team, providing forward thinking, strategic insights, leadership guidance and advice to our Perth Senior Leadership Team.

Reporting into the Head of People & Culture, this role will effectively partner with the business to align and embed our culture, drive business success through collaborative partnership on end-to-end people solutions and provide operational advice to the business, in line with their business plans and Crown’s policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional, business-focused people and culture services to People Leaders across various industry portfolios.

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the allocated portfolios including the specific business objectives, challenges, risks and strategic goals.

  • Develop and facilitate training to People Leaders to effectively manage performance management issues and employee discipline matters in line with Crown’s relevant policies and procedures, and "speak up" culture.

  • Partner with senior People Leaders to implement succession plans, talent management strategies and identify critical pipeline projects as part of a continuous improvement model.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with key internal stakeholders and subject matter experts as part of a #OneTeam #OneCrown business owner mindset to drive consistent business results.

  • Provide input in the review of policies, procedures, SOPs, templates and other related documents to reflect a best practice model of work.

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of projects, programs and procedures that support the strategic direction of the wider People & Culture Team, both at a local Property level, and at a Group level.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • 5-10 years' proven P&C Business Partnering experience (preferably in matrix organisation of high volume).

  • Degree-qualified in Human Resources or similar (People Management, Law, Commercial Business).

  • Ability to translate business strategy into tangible people plans.

  • Demonstrated experience working with Senior Leaders and Key Stakeholders to influence and enable the business strategy through operational performance.

  • A continuous improvement, commercial mindset and desire to be a change agent, proactively leading and shaping the P&C operating model within a shared service framework.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current legislation across full spectrum employment mattters.

  • Experience with, or exposure to, organisations with both a salaried workforce and those employed in alignment with Union representation and an Enterprise Agreement (EA).

About You as a Person:

  • You are energetic, efficient, intelligent and are motivated to "do better" each day.

  • You thrive in a busy, dynamic and diverse workplace where no two days are the same.

  • You enjoy working as part of a team, but are also confident to lead and influence departmental leaders.

  • You bring transferrable P&C skills and "war stories" from other disciplines or industries, and have a strong understanding of what a "business owner" mentality is when being a strategic business partner.

  • You embrace change, the ability to pivot in thinking, and enjoy the challenge of working with different people, and identifying the best ways of adapting to varying work styles and environments.
