- Oversee and coordinate legal due diligence processes, including title, survey, zoning, environmental, and organizational review.
- Manage and supervise outside counsel across multiple transactions and ongoing portfolio matters.
- Partner closely with transactions, asset management, and capital markets teams to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
- Support the legal department’s knowledge management initiatives and assist with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements: Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school with admission in good standing to at least one state bar (California preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions at a top-tier law firm or in-house with a real estate investment manager, developer, operator, or other institutional platform.
- Proven track record of independently handling complex real estate transactions.
- Experience managing transaction processes and coordinating with internal business teams, counterparties, lenders, consultants, and outside counsel.
- Background in commercial real estate transactions, including experience with acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, financings, development projects, and general real estate transactional matters.
- Experience across both traditional and alternative real estate asset classes is a plus
