Position Summary The Associate Director provides leadership, management, and direction for Tarian Group, LLC security accounts under the guidance of a Regional Director or Regional Vice President. This role focuses on field leadership, client relations, policy enforcement, and service excellence. It ensures compliance with Tarian while overseeing security site leaders and coordinating resources at client locations.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Lead, coach, and evaluate Program Managers and Facility Supervisors across assigned sites.
  • Oversee hiring, performance management, and staff development at the site level.
  • Serve as the primary administrative liaison with client facility representatives.
  • Ensure operational adherence to Tarian Group, LLC security standards, post orders, and training requirements.
  • Coordinate adequate staffing coverage for standard and special event operations.
  • Support investigations and provide disciplinary guidance in collaboration with HR and leadership.
  • Maintain compliance with facility and post order documentation.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures relevant to site-level security operations.
  • Support security personnel training and certification efforts in coordination with internal training staff.
  • Manage security-related budgets and recommend necessary purchases or resource allocations.
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and assist with transitions for new client accounts.
  • Serve as point of contact for local public safety agency coordination.
  • Participate in periodic staff meetings, performance reviews, and client-facing presentations.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and readiness assessments to ensure service quality.
  • Represent Tarian Group, LLC in positive client interactions and prepare recognition for staff excellence

Qualifications

Distinguishing Characteristics This role is focused on multi-site security leadership and field operations, distinct from corporate operations or internal analytics. It emphasizes operational consistency, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction within security services.

Minimum Qualifications Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Experience: 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in security or field operations leadership.
  • Licenses: Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of physical security principles and site management.
  • Exceptional client relationship and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams across multiple geographic locations.
  • Knowledge of public safety coordination and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage field operations budgets.
  • Familiarity with workforce scheduling and incident response protocols. Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Regular local and domestic travel required (up to 70%).
  • Frequent site visits including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to variable environmental conditions at client sites.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work based on client or site needs

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Work hours will vary depending on assignments, client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. Workweeks may exceed 40 hours and may involve any of the 7 days of the week, depending on the needs of the business. The work environment may be fast-paced and stressful or may also be quiet and slow-paced. All environments and pace of work will require alertness and ability to perform under pressure. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time throughout an assigned shift; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects 25 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently engages in mental concentration, analysis, and formulation.
