We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Hamilton. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support in our laboratory environment, ensuring accurate data collection, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
- Assist with various laboratory experiments and procedures, following established protocols and guidelines
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and supplies
- Accurately record and document experimental data and observations
- Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment, ensuring proper storage and disposal of materials
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support laboratory operations
- Perform basic data entry and documentation tasks using computer systems
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and procedures

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely
- Excellent organisational skills to maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment
- Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques and procedures
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments

- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting (preferred)
- Knowledge of relevant laboratory safety protocols (preferred)
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues
- Analytical mindset
