The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a Senior Program Operations Lead to support a large and growing DOD program focused on Counter-UAS mission support located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This is a hybrid role.
This role reports directly to the Program Manager and serves as the PM’s operational lead across the contract. The selected candidate will help keep the program running smoothly by overseeing high-volume procurement, logistics, customer deliverables, program reporting, and special operations-related projects that require focused attention and quick execution.
This is a high-visibility role for someone who can bring structure, accountability, and follow-through to a fast-moving mission environment. The right candidate is comfortable working across technical teams, operations staff, dispersed work locations, and government stakeholders to solve problems, lead urgent operational efforts, and keep execution moving.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day program operations across procurement, logistics, customer reporting, deliverable tracking, and special operations-related projects.
- Coordinate across managers, team-level Program Specialists, and government stakeholders to connect team-level needs with contract-wide operations support.
- Manage a high-volume procurement operation supporting a large, fast-moving DoD program, with a focus on speed, accuracy, visibility, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate procurement and material delivery data to support financial forecasting, delivery tracking, and customer reporting.
- Own the monthly Program Management Review package, including action items, deliverables, key metrics, risks, and customer-facing updates.
- Take ownership of special projects assigned by the Program Manager, particularly urgent or high-priority operational efforts that cut across procurement, logistics, staffing, reporting, process improvement, or customer support.
- Lead CPARS and past performance data collection to ensure program accomplishments, metrics, and supporting documentation are current and ready for customer reporting or proposal use.
- Supervise and develop operations staff, setting clear expectations and building a responsive, accountable support team.
- Support operational coordination across a dispersed workforce, ensuring program support remains consistent across teams, locations, and mission areas.
- Identify operational risks, recommend mitigation plans, and drive corrective actions when issues arise.
- Build strong working relationships with the government customer by anticipating needs, communicating clearly, and resolving issues quickly.
Qualifications
Required
- BA/BS and 10+ years of related experience, or MA/MS and 5+ years of related experience.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Experience managing DOD program operations across procurement, logistics, travel, financial coordination, customer deliverables, and reporting.
- Experience supporting CPFF and T&M contract execution, including operational coordination, financial tracking, and reporting.
- Experience supervising operations, PMO, or program support staff and coordinating support across dispersed teams, locations, or mission areas.
- Strong understanding of DOD procurement, contract deliverables, and customer reporting requirements.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, urgent requests, and high-volume workflows while communicating clearly with government customers and internal leaders.
Desired
- PMP certification strongly preferred.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience supporting Counter-UAS, electronic systems, or other defense technology programs.
- Familiarity with CPARS, past performance documentation, and recompete preparation.
- Experience improving processes across procurement, finance, onboarding, logistics, or program support functions.
- Experience developing, tracking, and delivering CDRLs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growth environment where processes are being built.
