Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead marketing and sales activities related to products, systems, and services within the defined industry segments, for the assigned area. Each day, you will ensure that the division and related sales units substantially improve their sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the selected market segments. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and implementing a market-based strategy including direct, third party, and project sales and enhancing cross-division and cross-region business-led collaborations for the specific market segment.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the Motion business area in Bogota, Colombia .

You will be mainly accountable for

Leading the segment team members and reinforces global sales efficiency and performance.

Building relationships with key external influencers/key customers and leverages ABB’s strengths to capture new business opportunities.

Driving and ensuring knowledge sharing and cross-division and cross-country collaborations.

Activating operation intelligence, benchmarking, and analysis to identify industry segment trends, practices, product gaps, competitor strategy, etc.

Qualifications for the role

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

You are immersed in the Oil & Gas (Hydrocarbons) industry and highly skilled in developing commercial opportunities and managing strategic customer relationships within this market.

You have 6+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably working with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and industrial electrical solutions.

Possess an enhanced knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (mandatory). Knowledge of electric motors and substations is desirable.

You are passionate about customer relationship management and business growth, with strong influencing, communication, teamwork, resilience, and adaptability skills.

You are at ease communicating in English at an advanced level.

You are willing and available to travel up to 60% of the time within Colombia.
