Role Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering QE Lead with strong expertise in Robot Framework–based test automation. This role will lead test strategy, automation architecture, and delivery quality across applications, ensuring high standards of reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • You will work closely with product, development, and DevOps teams to embed quality practices throughout the SDLC and drive automation-first testing approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the QE function for one or more products or platforms
  • Design and implement automation frameworks using Robot Framework
  • Define and execute end-to-end testing (functional, regression, API, UI)
  • Drive shift-left testing practices and automation-first culture
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure testability, CI/CD integration, and code quality
  • Develop reusable, scalable test libraries and components
  • Integrate automation suites with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Oversee test data management and environment stability
  • Provide leadership in defect management and root cause analysis
  • Mentor QE engineers and enforce best practices in testing
  • Measure and report quality metrics, automation coverage, and release readiness

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6–7 years in Quality Engineering / Software Testing
  • 2–3 years in a QE Lead / Test Lead role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework
  • Proficiency in Python for Robot Framework extensions and libraries

Experience With

  • UI automation (Selenium, Playwright integration)
  • API testing (REST tools like Postman, Requests libraries)
  • Solid understanding of test framework design and architecture
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration

Familiarity With

  • Agile / Scrum methodologies
  • Version control systems (Git)
  • Test management tools (Azure DevOps, JIRA, TestRail)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in BDD (Behavior Driven Development)
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, k6)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • Experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with security testing practices

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is 70,958 to 87,273

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
