Position: 1st Class Tig CuNi Pipe Welder

Location: Lockport, LA

Position Overview: Bollinger Shipyards is seeking a skilled and experienced 1st Class Tig CuNi Pipe Welder to join our team. This role involves preparing and welding pipe and fittings for various material types, adhering to construction drawings and technical guidance documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Tig (heli-arc) welding on CuNi (copper nickel) pipe and fittings according to specifications.
• Ensure high-quality welds in compliance with technical standards and project requirements.
• Work in various positions and environments as required by the project scope.

Experience

• A minimum of 3 months of Tig CuNi Pipe Welding experience is required.

Skills and Abilities

• Must successfully demonstrate the ability to pass a hands-on Tig (heli-arc) pipe welding test on CuNi pipe in the following conditions:
• Pipe size: 2” diameter with 3/32” wall thickness.
• Position: 6G.
• Weld details: Gas purge with 1/8” root opening and all uphill weld progression.
