Position Summary

We are seeking a high-impact strategic operations senior manager to partner closely with the Site Lead for CVS Ireland’s R&D organisation .

You will act as a force multiplier for the site: translating strategy into action, bringing structure to ambiguity, and ensuring strong alignment across engineering, product and other enterprise stakeholders.

What will you do?

Key Responsibilities

Partner with the Site Lead to enable execution of R&D site strategy and operating plans, translating strategy into coordinated action .

Translate R&D objectives into clear priorities, tracking progress and surfacing risks early .

Coordinate cross ‑ functional and cross departmental R&D workstreams to ensure alignment, clarity of ownership, and disciplined execution.

Enable effective R&D operational governance, supporting planning cycles, portfolio reviews, delivery health forums, and leadership rhythms without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.

Prepare and quality ‑ assure materials for executive forums, business reviews, weekly site syncs, and enterprise leadership discussions .

Act as an operational point of coordination with Government agencies, research institutions and Universities for R&D matters, supporting site reviews, governance, and investment narratives .

Coordinate governance and reporting for R&D commitments, including headcount, capability development, and innovation outcomes, in collaboration with Finance, Legal, and R&D leaders.

Ensure operational readiness for audits, reviews, and RD&I information requests, maintaining evidence ‑ based documentation and clear accountability.

Support culture, engagement, and site communications, reinforcing a high ‑ performing , inclusive R&D culture as the organisation scales.

Provide operational support and financial coordination for site charity and community initiatives, ensuring appropriate governance , budgeting discipline, and sustainable local partnerships.

We are looking for someone with

5+ years in roles spanning strategic operations, program management, R&D operations, consulting, or business/operations management

Experience supporting R&D organisations (healthcare, medtech, or regulated environments a plus)

Proven success working closely with senior leaders in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

Demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority

Strong systems thinker - able to see the big picture while managing detail where it matters

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with excellent experience creating visual presentations and reports.

Highly organised with a track record of bringing order to complexity

Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution

Able to move effortlessly between e xecutive conversations , o perational detail and p eople and culture topics
