What you will do:
As a Sales Engineer at Johnson Controls, you will play a crucial role in achieving sales targets and enhancing the profit margin of our HVAC business. Your responsibilities will include acquiring new customers, fostering relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions. You will also ensure timely payment collections and deliver competitive quotations to improve sales effectiveness.
How you will do it:
Achieve Key Result Areas (KRA) as established.
Generate and submit accurate quotations, along with regular sales forecasts and collection reports, adhering to company policy.
Collaborate with customers on secured projects to implement the supply scope as per the purchase order and manage invoicing accordingly.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular communication, visits, and formal presentations as necessary.
Maintain and expand the customer base to ensure continuous business growth.
Acquire a thorough understanding of Johnson Controls HVAC products to create suitable quotations based on customer requirements.
Gather field intelligence, providing feedback on competitors’ activities and market trends relevant to the HVAC sector.
Liaise with sales, service administrators, and finance departments to facilitate timely collections and maintain customer credit profiles.
Keep customers updated on product information and offerings from Johnson Controls.
Establish credit facilities for new customers when necessary and ensure effective collections.
Provide prompt and accurate responses to customer inquiries at all times.
Foster strong relationships with dealers, consultants, and end users.
Perform additional duties as assigned by your superior.
Maintain high morale and team spirit within your team.
What we offer:
A minimum degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in HVAC sales (chillers), pumps, cooling towers, contractors
Demonstrated experience in sales to contractors, consultants, or company owners, and handling projects effectively.
Knowledge of Building HVAC
Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
Basic understanding of SAP operations would be advantageous.
Desirable personal qualities include ambition, strong project understanding, and good relationships with contractors and consultants.
