Overview The People & Culture Manager at the Hilliard Center is responsible for performing a broad range of P&C functions to support the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture Department. This role will ensure the successful execution of P&C functions and programs across different disciplines of P&C, primarily focused on Employee Relations, Learning & Development, while supporting the venue in Talent Acquisition & Onboarding, Employee Engagement and compliance with federal and state employment laws. The People & Culture Manager will work closely with the General Manager and OVG Corporate HR and P&C team to foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment. This role will pay a salary of $55,000 to $60,000. For FT roles: Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 12 holidays) This position will remain open until September 4, 2026. Responsibilities Serve as the local point of contact for employees regarding P&C-related inquiries, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Foster positive employee relations by providing guidance on conflict resolution, performance management, and policy interpretation. Investigate employee concerns and complaints, providing support for dispute resolution and disciplinary actions. Provide sound guidance to various department managers. Demonstrate tact and diplomacy in managing sensitive, intricate, and confidential personnel matters and employee situations. Become familiar with Hilliard Center and OVG policies and procedures and assist with policy implementation and interpretations. Uphold strict confidentiality and security protocols for personal employee information, including background checks, medical records, and investigatory files. Partner with the General Manager to develop and implement the learning and development strategy for the Hilliard Center. Collaborate with department leaders to identify team development needs and design targeted learning programs, including leadership training, workshops, coaching, and digital learning solutions. Lead initiatives that support leadership development, career growth, and a culture of continuous learning across the venue. Track and evaluate training outcomes using measurable metrics to ensure programs drive team member engagement, performance improvement, and operational excellence. Partner with OVG’s corporate Learning & Development team to leverage enterprise learning resources and align local programs with company initiatives. Ensure all required training programs comply with company standards and applicable legal requirements, including workplace safety and harassment prevention. Support the development of training standards, SOP implementation, and designated trainer programs to strengthen operational consistency. Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and hiring process administration. Lead new hire orientation and onboarding programs that introduce team members to the venue’s culture, values, and service standards while setting them up for long-term success. Partner with the OVG Benefits team to assist Team Members with benefits questions and support leave administration processes, including FMLA, disability, and other leave programs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (including FLSA, ADA, EEO, FMLA, I-9, and E-Verify). Maintain accurate team Member records and assist with audits, reporting, and adherence to internal Maintain accurate team member records and support HR reporting, audits, and process improvements. Utilize HR systems to manage team member data, onboarding documentation, and workforce reporting. Serve as a trusted People & Culture partner to team members and managers, providing guidance on workplace policies, performance management, and team member relations matters. Support initiatives that enhance Team Member engagement, recognition, and workplace culture across the venue. Assist in planning team member programs and activities that foster collaboration, inclusion, and team connection. Support investigations and resolution of team member concerns while ensuring fair, consistent, and confidential handling of sensitive situations. Support People & Culture initiatives, projects, and administrative functions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the People & Culture team and venue operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 3–5 years of experience in an HR/P&C Generalist or HR/P&C Administrative Assistant role, preferably in the hospitality or event management industry. Skills: SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred. Knowledge of HR policies and employment laws. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels. Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS software (experience with ICIMS or ADP is a plus).
