Job description

The Position:

The Company Nurse provides onsite medical support, promotes employee health and wellness, and ensures compliance with occupational health standards. The role also involves administering healthcare benefits, and leading employee engagement initiatives, particularly for Cebu site activities.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Clinical and Onsite Healthcare Services

  • Provide first aid treatment, emergency response, and basic medical care to employees onsite.
  • Perform routine health assessments, including vital signs monitoring and pre-employment medical reviews.
  • Maintain and manage employee medical records in compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Administer prescribed medications and facilitate referrals to accredited healthcare providers when necessary.
  • Monitor and support employees with chronic or work-related health conditions.

Benefits Administration and Insurance Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee healthcare benefits and insurance concerns.
  • Assist employees in understanding their health insurance coverage and benefits.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of benefits-related documentation and reporting.
  • Liaise with HR and external providers to resolve issues related to billing, coverage, and access to care.

Health and Safety Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards and company policies.
  • Assist in workplace hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Maintain clinic readiness, including medical supplies, equipment, and emergency kits.
  • Support compliance requirements such as Annual Physical Exams (APE) and vaccination programs.

Health Promotion and Employee Wellness

  • Design and implement health and wellness programs (e.g., health talks, screenings, vaccination drives).
  • Provide health education, counseling, and preventive care guidance to employees.
  • Support mental health programs in collaboration with HR and external partners.

Cebu Site Engagement and Activities

  • Act as the health and wellness representative for Cebu site employees.
  • Coordinate and actively participate in Cebu-based engagement initiatives such as wellness campaigns, medical missions, and employee events.
  • Partner with Cebu site leaders and HR to align activities with employee needs and engagement goals.
  • Track participation and effectiveness of Cebu engagement initiatives and provide regular reports.

Administrative and Reporting Functions

  • Prepare and submit health-related reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Document all clinic visits, treatments, incidents, and health programs accurately.
  • Assist in drafting and updating company health policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (PRC License required)
  • At least 1–3 years of experience in occupational health, corporate clinic, or hospital setting
  • Experience handling HMO providers
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid (preferred)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Amenable to onsite work
