Design Engineer (Holing)

The Design Engineer – Holing is responsible for delivering accurate and timely holing designs that support production, assembly, and project requirements. The role ensures that holing outputs are aligned with formwork design, manufacturing constraints, and project schedules.

Job Description

• Prepare holing designs, drawings, and related documentation in accordance with project and company requirements.
• Deliver holing information in line with production and dispatch schedules.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of holing designs with specifications, drawings, and manufacturing constraints.
• Coordinate with Planning, Production, and Design teams to ensure alignment of holing outputs.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date records of all holing-related documentation.
• Identify and escalate design issues, clashes, or inconsistencies.
• Support continuous improvement of holing processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of holing design outputs.
• Accountable for managing assigned workload in line with production priorities.
• Required to escalate issues that may impact manufacturing, quality, or delivery.
• Maintain professional standards and good document control practices.
• Use company systems and tools responsibly.
• Ensure confidentiality of company information.
• Undertake any other duties reasonably assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Construction) 
• Experience in a related field (Civil, Mechanical or Construction)
• Strong design skills in AutoCAD 2D & 3D
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office  
• Well-developed analytical skills   
• Ability to work individually and in a team environment on standard and major projects 
• Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines and budgets 
• Good listening and probing skills to diagnose client requirements 
• Able to work independently and as a team player in a results-driven, fast-paced environment 
• Willingness to be involved hands-on in projects if required 
• Engaging personality and confident attitude 
• Excellent communication skills in English language
