Role and Responsibilities:
As a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Primrose Schools, you will support children during a critical stage of preparation for kindergarten. You will lead engaging lessons, daily routines, and purposeful play that build academic readiness, social skills, and independence. Using Primrose’s Balanced Learning® digital curriculum, you will provide joyful and effective learning experiences that nurture each child's development.
• Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment for preschool-aged children.
• Implement age-appropriate, pre-designed lesson plans aligned with the Balanced Learning® curriculum.
• Support kindergarten readiness through early literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development.
• Guide positive classroom behavior using developmentally appropriate strategies.
• Adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and developmental levels.
• Maintain strong communication with families regarding progress and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and school leadership to uphold high-quality educational standards.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization in the classroom.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective classroom management abilities for preschool-aged children.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
• Passion for early childhood education and child development.
• Experience working with young children in a preschool or early learning setting (preferred but not always required depending on location).
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Coursework, certification, or a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Prior experience teaching in Pre-K, preschool, or early childhood programs.
• Familiarity with structured curricula or digital teaching platforms.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
