Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Client Accounting Advisory Services team. This position is crucial for providing expert financial insights and services to our clients, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and analyze balance sheets and income statements
• Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations
• Manage trial balances and perform journal entries
• Maintain and reconcile general ledgers
• Assist clients with accrual and cash basis accounting
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Collaborate with clients to understand their accounting needs and provide solutions
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for client meetings
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with payroll processing and payroll tax compliance
• Familiarity with accrual and cash basis accounting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
