Promotional Products Supplier (Industry Experience Required)

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Director with deep Promo industry knowledge to lead and elevate our 3rd Party trade B2B advertising and overall marketing/branding strategy.

Role Summary

Reporting directly to the VP of Merchandising & Marketing, the Marketing Director will develop, implement, and execute comprehensive marketing strategies designed to increase brand awareness, distributor engagement, and revenue growth while managing marketing initiatives with a clear focus on ROI, maintaining a healthy revenue-to-marketing spend ratio and driving sustainable, profitable growth. This role requires a hands-on leader who understands the unique dynamics of the Advertising Specialty Industry and can translate strategy into measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Multi-Channel Marketing Leadership

Oversee PFP campaigns with major Trade Service Providers like ESP and Sage

Lead email marketing strategy and automation

Manage and grow social media presence

Assist in the strategy, redesign, and execution of a significantly improved, user-friendly website experience that enhances usability, engagement, and performance.

Performance & Analytics

Track and evaluate campaign performance using analytics (Use of AI with expert efficiency is highly regarded for this position)

Develop KPI dashboards and reporting systems

Identify opportunities for optimization and growth

Manage marketing budget and ROI performance

Innovation & Growth

Launch new marketing initiatives leveraging AI and emerging technologies

Develop new digital programs to enhance distributor engagement

Improve brand positioning within the Promo Products industry

Cross-Department Collaboration

Partner with Sales and Merchandising to support product launches

Develop trade show marketing strategies (ASI, PPAI, regional shows)

Align campaigns with inventory strategy and seasonal programs

Support distributor-facing promotions and initiatives

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of marketing experience within the Advertising Specialty Industry

Proven track record managing multi-channel campaigns

Strong understanding of distributor marketing dynamics

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills

Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities

Preferred Experience

Experience working for a supplier in the promotional products industry

Familiarity with ESP, SAGE, or PromoStandards ecosystem

Experience marketing at ASI and PPAI trade events

B2B marketing experience
