The Work:
As a Java Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
• Analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance standards.
• Debugging existing software to correct defects.
• Recommending enhancements for documentation and software development standards.
• Designing and coding new software or modifying current applications to introduce new features.
• Integrating software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Writing queries for existing or proposed databases.
• Documenting software and systems thoroughly.
• Leading development teams based on the software development processes being utilized.
• Designing complex database interfaces and implementing algorithms that exceed system standards.
• Assisting in test procedure development for software components.
• Investigating problem areas and recommending software modifications to enhance performance.
• Implementing recommendations for process improvements and overseeing the quality control of software products.
• Engaging with systems and hardware engineers to determine software requirements and limitations.
• Coordinating software system installations and monitoring equipment to ensure specifications are met.
• Providing insights into new technologies for complex software projects.

Basic Qualifications:
• Must possess a current DoD Top Secret SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• At least eight (8) years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in Java development.
• Competence with Docker and familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch/Kibana (ELK Stack), Niagara Files, RabbitMQ, and some experience with web interfaces (preferably using React).

Other Important Information:
This position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. We offer various flexible work schedules, including the 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Pay Rate: Annual base salary range is $128,200 - $225,975, subject to location and individual qualifications.
